About Us

Every dress has a story, and so does Frocks & Fashions LLC.

Our story begins with a simple but unforgettable moment—a mother-daughter shopping trip. When Roxane was in the ninth grade, she and her mom, Edie, traveled to Oklahoma City to shop for her very first formal dress. There wasn’t a local boutique at the time, so the trip was something truly special. After trying on several dresses, Roxane ended up falling in love with the very first one she tried. That day was filled with laughter, excitement, and the kind of joy only a shopping trip with your mom can bring.

It was such a meaningful experience that Edie was inspired to open her own dress boutique right in Blackwell. She wanted to give other young women the same opportunity her daughter had—to discover the dress that makes them feel confident, radiant, and unforgettable. And so, Frocks & Fashions was born.

A Family Legacy of Style

For 25 years, Edie ran Frocks & Fashions with impeccable taste and a dynamic, youthful energy. She made buying a dress more than just a purchase—it was an experience. Roxane grew up alongside the boutique, traveling with her mom to market, helping choose dresses for the store, and enjoying adventures that mixed business with fun. Those years shaped not only her love for fashion, but also her appreciation for the joy of helping others find their perfect look.

When Edie retired, Roxane stepped into her shoes and moved the boutique to downtown Ponca City. At first, she wasn’t sure if the business would be the right fit for her. But when she became a mother herself, she realized just how much running the boutique allowed her to balance family and career. Today, Roxane carries on her mother’s vision while bringing her own touch to Frocks & Fashions—making it a place where memories and milestones are celebrated every day.

A Boutique Rooted in Community

One of the things that makes Frocks & Fashions truly special is our connection to the community. When we moved to our current location, it took over 2,000 dresses, a rented moving truck, and the kindness of other local businesses who let us use their dressing rooms for fittings. That spirit of collaboration and community still defines who we are today.

Roxane and her team are constantly working to make the boutique welcoming, stylish, and full of fresh energy. From the weekly window displays to the new sign out front, every detail is designed to make customers feel excited the moment they arrive.

Our Promise

At Frocks & Fashions, we believe shopping for a dress should be more than just crossing something off your list—it should be an experience you’ll remember forever. Whether you’re here for your wedding day, prom, or a special occasion with your little one, our goal is to help you feel beautiful, confident, and cared for.

For over 40 years combined—between Edie’s foundation and Roxane’s leadership—Frocks & Fashions has been about more than just dresses. It’s about family, community, and memories that last a lifetime.

We invite you to visit us in downtown Ponca City, where every dress tells a story, and we’d love to help write yours.
